Quiet hours need evidence, not folklore

A short discipline for deciding when not to send based on your own response windows.

Soft dawn light through a window

Global “best practice” quiet hours rarely match Bangkok commute patterns or night-shift cohorts. Copying another market’s blackout teaches people to ignore you—or to miss the moments they actually respond.

Start with three windows: high-response workday blocks, fragile late-evening taps, and true dead hours by segment. Only the last should be hard blackouts.

Document the rules in one page next to your CRM triggers. When definitions drift, timing metrics become fiction.
